Rebuking Satan

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7 Speak up to the devil in the name of Jesus. "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." Jesus said, "I am with you [always]."
"Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west." Isaiah 43:5 To know that He is with us! Isn't that great? The further word is, "If God be for us, who can be against us." Praise God! We win!
"And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified to all." St. Luke 4:14,15 As with Jesus, so it is with us. After the struggle with the enemy, there is strength. "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
"Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." St. John 8:34 Sin is a hard boss to work for. Long hours, broken hearts, worried minds, and a multitude of bitter memories are the products of the devil. "The wages of sin is death." Be no longer the servant of sin when there is complete release in Christ.
"Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21 Evil has never been a match for goodness. To be an overcomer, you have to overcome a few things. Let the good in your life be so pronounced that if people speak ill of you, no one will believe them.
"... Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation." St. Luke 22:46 People need to be wide-awake and Spirit-filled, and then use common sense to avoid the snares of the devil.
"And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the Lord..." Judges 10:16 There are a lot of old and strange gods waiting in the shadows of our lives in search of new subjects. They leave only when the true and living God is given the place of prominence in our hearts.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 Sin pays off...in bitter memories, heartache, shame, lost lives and souls. Christ is the way back and up. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me."
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." I John 4:4 We come to master the problems from without when we learn to appropriate power from within. "Nothing shall be impossible unto you."
"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." I John 5:4 The need of the hour is for more overcoming Christians with a song and fewer overbearing ones with a sigh.
"My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not." Proverbs 1:10 Say "no" to sin, and the Lord will give you the strength by your decision. "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him." St. Matthew 4:10,11 There is a liberation of our spirit that comes only from looking up to the Lord and speaking up to the devil. "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." We overcome by the "word of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb." Thank you, Lord, for the power of Your blood and the might of Your Word! Amen.
"Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21 Keep firing away with good. Someday evil will surrender. "A soft answer turneth away wrath."
"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against wiles of the devil." Ephesians 6:11 A Christian must fortify himself with the Word of God, exercise his faith, and walk in the Spirit. All of this is made easy with the one simple act of allowing Jesus His rightful place in our lives. "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." I Peter 5:8 He is out there to devour your time, talents, your home, heart and eternal soul. The only language he understands is our true commitment to Jesus Christ. Today, make that commitment and walk on in confidence. "Lo, I am with you [always]."
"And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen." Romans 16:20 Take this as your own promise of the power of God soon to be demonstrated in your life. "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and be will flee from you." James 4:7 With the resistance will come the release. The power of Jesus breaks the bondage of sin. "The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation."
