Peace - Happiness - Joy

"And the way of peace have they not known." Romans 3:17 Man is continuously reaching out for peace while leaving God out of his plans. "Peace on earth, good will toward men" is still accompanied only by the presence of Christ.
"Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord." Psalm 144:5 Here is where happiness is! Isn't it strange that we have searched for it in so many other things and places? Father, forgive us, in Jesus' name. Amen.
"But, the fruit of the Spirit is...joy..." Galatians 5:22 It is not where we are, or who we are, but what and whose we are that makes us joyful.
"Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation..." Psalm 51:12 Do you have the same joy, peace, and compassion for others that once ruled your spirit? If not, then turn to Him who hath begun a good work in you and is able to revive that which you seemed to have lost. Nothing but sin can take away the Christian's joy.
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1 There is no real peace inside, outside of Christ. He gives the peace that passeth all understanding. Peace that the world cannot give or take away.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 In our search for peace, it seems that we have called in everyone but the real peace-maker. "My peace I give unto you..." Perhaps we need to make peace with God before we can talk peace with man.
"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." St. Matthew 5:3 In our anxiety for peace with man, let us not pass a still greater obligation, that of making peace with Our Maker.
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures." I Corinthians 15:3 We must acknowledge personally that He died for our sins, if we are to have any personal peace.
"Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10 True happiness comes from knowing the Lord, and true strength comes from the knowledge that He is with you, in you, and for you. "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."
"Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom." I Kings 10:8 Don't condemn the emotional Christians. Perhaps they have found a joy that belongs to us all, but which we have, heretofore, ignored or overlooked. God's people ought to be the happiest and the busiest people on earth.
"These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." St. John 15:11 The Christianity that Jesus talked about and provided for called for His people to be overjoyed, not overbearing nor overburdened.
"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body, and be ye thankful." Colossians 3:15 There can be no peace in our hearts until we make up our minds to come to terms with God. "My peace I give unto you."
"And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart." Jeremiah 24:7 There is no peace of mind without whole-hearted surrender. "When ye seek for me with your whole heart, ye shall find me."
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. "Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." St. John 14:27 The peace that counts is found at an altar of prayer, not at a table. Let's get back to the Bible...and God.
"But godliness with contentment is great gain." I Timothy 6:6 Do you ever see people like that? Perhaps they have read this and believed it. Let's join them!
"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." Colossians 1:20 Just as the price of peace for every war has been the shedding of blood - so with eternal peace for our salvation. It was paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son.
"Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all." II Thessalonians 3:6 He is the Peacemaker and the Peace-keeper. Turn all of the conflicts of your life over to Him. "My peace I give unto you."
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1 Think of it. Peace with God. Without that, everything else in the world is reduced to nothing. Jesus said, "My peace I give unto you..." By all means, take it.
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1 Do you have peace with God? In this moment through Jesus, you can. Take it by faith forever. Receive and rejoice!
"Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." Psalm 45:7 Make it a point to love the good things of life. The Lord will make it a point to see that you are rewarded. "No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."
"Then the same day that evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you." St. John 20:19 In a world of strife, the Saviour is still the Peacemaker. "My peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth give I unto you - let not your heart be troubled and neither let it be afraid." Father, give peace to every troubled heart just now, in Jesus' name, Amen.
"My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise." Psalm 57:7 It's a great day in our lives when our hearts are right with God and our minds are at peace. Out of this experience will come joy unspeakable. It can happen today as we invite the Prince of Peace in. "My peace I give unto you."
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." St. John 16:33 The Lord doesn't want us to be under the circumstances, but an overcomer with Him. "My grace is sufficient for thee." Whatever the problem, He is the answer.
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." St. John 14:27 He gives the peace "that passes all understanding that the world cannot give, neither can it take away." Why don't we receive it? Father, in Jesus' great name, we receive the peace that You have promised. We also pray for peace world-wide. Amen. Thank You.
"Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation." Habakkuk 3:18 There are good times in God's service. He planned it that way. Give Him praise. "Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice." Not only prayer but praise is mountain moving.
