The Sovereignty of God

"The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." Psalm 24:1 Once the ownership is established, we shouldn't have any trouble with obedience. "Ye are not your own..." We have been purchased not with gold or silver, but by the precious blood of Christ.
"Hath not my hand made all these things?" Acts 7:50 So little of our lives revolve around Him, who created us, and the world that we live in. So much depends on our attitude toward Him and what we do with the Saviour.
"Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:4 Anything that is put ahead of God will be left behind. "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and him only shalt thou serve."
"For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen." Romans 11:36 Life was made to revolve around God, and when it doesn't, we run into reverses.
"Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee." Jeremiah 32:17 God can do anything, and without Him, we can do nothing.
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist." Colossians 1:16, 17 God has a copyright on all creations. Man merely makes the discovery that after all is said and done, he belongs to Him.
"The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." Psalm 24:1 This just about settles it for God. Happy is the man who recognizes who holds the whole world in the palm of His hand.
"...They shall know that I am the Lord." Ezekiel 28:23 God has a way of making Himself known and heard. "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near."
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9 This does not mean that God is out of reach, but only that many times His reasoning is different than ours. Don't spend a lot of time trying to figure God out; just release your faith in humble obedience to His will and way.
"Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world." Acts 15:18 Never mind if we can't figure everything out, so long as we know that our faithful Creator has everything in control. "Underneath are the everlasting arms." "Trust and obey."
"And the Lord said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth." Exodus 9:13,14 The Lord has a way of getting the attention of those who are aggravating His people...and no one will doubt that He has spoken.
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple are ye." I Corinthians 3: 16,17 Man is the property of God and He will not forever tolerate trespassing.
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." Ephesians 3:20 No one can look at this and limit God. "For with God nothing shall be impossible." "I am the Lord, the God of all flesh...Is there anything too hard for me?"
"Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:4 Anything that is put ahead of God will be left behind. "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only shalt thou serve." Attend the services in your church and pray for God's servants. Blessings will be yours.
"O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker." Psalm 95:6 Worship is more than sound. It is an act! It is a bowing of our wills and ways, a surrender to Him. We must not make the mistake of worshipping a cause, another Christian or even the Church. All the glory is due to God and must go to Him. Praise Him!
"Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him." Psalm 33:8 We need but to look around us to know that there is a greater power above us. The need of the hour is for the created to have more respect for the Creator.
"Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture." Psalm 100:3 The strain of life and the sting of death are removed when we come to sit at the feet of the dear Shepherd. Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep."
"Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord." Jeremiah 23:24 God is everywhere, all powerful, and He loves you. Come out of your hiding, wherever you are, and open yourself up to His tender touch. Your Heavenly Father will forgive you. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
"I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images." Isaiah 42:8 Love and appreciate others and even love yourself, but all the glory and praise, plus the greatest of our love must go to Him. All that we are, have, or will be is because of Him. "He hath made us and not we ourselves." Oh God, our Heavenly Father, we praise You and give honor and glory to Your name. Thank You for Jesus and the Holy Spirit and Your Word. We praise You for abundant life here and eternal life in Heaven, through Jesus Christ, Your Son. Amen.
"In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them." Zechariah 12:8 With God, the weakest of vessels takes on the power and the authority of the Lord. "I am with thee to deliver thee."
"And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one." Zechariah 14:9 The day will come when the One who made it all will rule over all. Blessed are those subjects who will already have made Him Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
"All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations." Psalm 22:27,28 God has His way of bringing to pass what He has said. Woe to the people and nations that get in the way.
"Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the Lord have created it." Isaiah 45:8 Listen to the Lord! A God who can speak with authority like that certainly has a good word for you. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Praise God.
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10 Some of the greatest victories that you will ever experience will not be in working for God, but in waiting on Him. Come out of your struggles and into His stillness and "know Him."
"And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen." Romans 16:20 Keep this in mind no matter how things look. God is in charge. Father, help us to recognize Your ability and our authority as believers. In Jesus' name. Amen.
"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." St. Mark 10:27 Nothing is out of reach as long as we can reach our Heavenly Father, and we can. Jesus said, "I am the way." Let's go with Him.
"Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours." I Corinthians 3:21 Look at all we miss by not looking to God. "My God shall supply all of your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
